The boats everyone photographs. Pedal a swan, duck, dragon or flamingo around the harbor — no licence, no lesson, no reservation needed.
Ventura Harbor's flat, protected water is about as forgiving as boating gets, and the character pedal boats are the easiest way onto it. You sit, you pedal, you steer with a tiller. There is nothing to learn and nothing to launch.
Every boat seats up to four adults plus one small child under 50 lbs, with a 1,250 lb total limit. Pick your character at the dock — the swans, ducks, dragons and flamingos all rent for the same price.

- No reservations — walk up to Dock C-10 and pick your boat.
- Runs every day of the year, weather permitting.

- Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings on the published schedule.
- Must be 18+ to rent. Credit card reservation required, no cancellations.

Parade of Lights pedal boat
Two hours on the water during the harbor's lighted boat parade
- Up to 4 adults + 1 child under 50 lbs
- Friday 18 December and Saturday 19 December 2026, 6:30–8:30 PM.

What you are actually renting
Before you get on the water
The rules below come straight from the rental contract you will sign at the dock. Nothing here is a surprise once you arrive — but it is worth knowing before you drive over.
- Renters must be 18 or older for night appointments; daytime rentals follow the dock's standard rental contract.
- Night bookings take a credit card at the time of reservation and cannot be cancelled or changed once booked.
- All rentals are weather permitting.

Drive yourself. Silent electric boats from 14 to 21 feet, seating four to twelve, with a canopy for the sun and no licence required.
