Kayak rentals
Sit-on-top singles, doubles and a family double-plus. Flat, protected water and sea lions most mornings.
Ventura Harbor is protected water, so kayaking here is nothing like launching through surf. You paddle out from the dock into flat water with sailboats on one side and the rock jetty on the other.
All kayaks are sit-on-tops. No experience needed, and no reservations — walk up and go.

Before you get on the water
The rules below come straight from the rental contract you will sign at the dock. Nothing here is a surprise once you arrive — but it is worth knowing before you drive over.
- No reservations — kayaks are first come, first served.
- No single paddler over 225 lbs on any kayak.
- All rentals are weather permitting.

Character pedal boats
The boats everyone photographs. Pedal a swan, duck, dragon or flamingo around the harbor — no licence, no lesson, no reservation needed.

Drive yourself. Silent electric boats from 14 to 21 feet, seating four to twelve, with a canopy for the sun and no licence required.

Wide, flat-decked boards built for stability, on water with no swell. If you have never stood on a SUP, this is the place to try.
